LG Shine KE970

$160.00 Released April, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Document Viewer. Video Recording/Streaming. Feels solid without being overly heavy.

The Cons:Lack of Business Functionality. Susceptible to broken screen without harsh treatment ('bleeding LCD crystal'). File navigation not flexible or logical.

The LG Shine KE970 is a tri-band GSM, slider mobile phone designed for fashion, convenience, and usability. A step up from the ME770 and Shine KE770, the LG Shine KE970 trades in its predecessor’s candybar design for a more sophisticated and business-friendly slider frame.

Plus, the KE970 features a multi-function scroll key, thereby listening the time needing to navigate the device. Like its predecessors, the on-the-go KE970 sports only a minute # of office features, such as a text viewer, Bluetooth v1.2, and a SIM Card (included on KEY770), but lacks fundamental features such as Microsoft Office applications. Additional features of the LG Shine KE970 mobile phone include a digital audio player, a 2MP camera with video recording/streaming, and a plethora of basic functionality, such as a clock and calendar. The LG Shine KE970 retails for $159.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

skyfyre: #lg_shine_ke970 LG Customer Service guy recommended I bin it when I explained my experience with the phone.

Horrible design - although it looks nice, the looks certainly get in the way of its functionality, which is actually a terrible way to design things! It interferes rendering the phone useless. Plus the internal design mapping is nonsensical and inflexible.

I regret purchasing this phone. My screen craked (or had a 'bleeding lcd crystal') without any pressure or knock to the phone. In under a year it had 2 batteries. If there is sunshine outdoors - don't even try to use your phone. Because you can't. You honestly CAN'T SEE THE SCREEN! All you see is the mirror!

I've complained to the company directly and to the retailer and they have been nothing but rude and uncaring (and denying there is anything wrong with it, when all they have to do is take it outside if there's any sun). Rubbish phone, rubbish company. This was my 2nd - and final - chance with an LG product and I was upset with both items. STAY AWAY FROM LG OR YOU'LL REGRET WASTING YOUR MONEY! Jun 12, 09
