Nokia 5500 Sport
$380.00
Released January, 2001
The Pros:Accelerometer. Very resistant. Supports lots of java and symbian applications.
The Cons:Small display. No wi-fi. Most of the training features are too simplistic for serious athletes.
Nokia 5500 in a cool prodoct for its low-cost and high performance. Indeed you can track your sport activity, surf the web (with the included web browser, Opera Mini, Skyfire, UCWeb and so on), read your mail, send mails, play 3D games and other cool stuff.
The display is very small for all these functionalities, and internet in not that fast (only GPRS available and no Wi-Fi conncection). Bluetooth works good and you can sync it with you Windows or Mac. 2 megapixel camera is also good, in low light conditions colors are not very accurate. Finally it is very resistant to hits and splashes.
