The Samsung Convoy is a rugged push-to-talk flip mobile phone released by Verizon Wireless in November 2009. It meets the 810F military standard for shock, dust, vibration, fog, humidity, solar radiation, altitude, and low/high temperature resistance.

Included also is EV-DO-based push-to-talk (walkie talkie) service, Bluetooth 2.1, a 2MP camera, and support for VZ Navigator (GPS). Keep in mind that the push-to-talk service costs approximately $5 per month. In regards to entertainment, the Convoy supports both video AND music playback, as well as a preimium speaker for enhanced audio reception. Additional features include a plethora of basic apps (Alarm, Clock, Calculator, etc), up to 16GB of optional microSD removable memory, and the ability to take multi-shots. The Convoy retails for $239.99, but can be obtained for far cheaper with a Verizon contract.
