The Cons:Camera performs poorly in low-light conditions, grainy or dark images. Relatively high number of dropped calls, regardless of network provider. Minimal preset message tones, no customization of message tones.

The Samsung T459 is a mid-range sliding messaging phone with several basic functions. Its main feature is a full QWERTY keypad that slides out horizontally, mainly for messaging purposes. It is quad-band receptive and features a large, 2.1"-diagonal 256k-color screen.

It has a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture, as well as an mp3/MPEG4 player. Internal memory is 60MB, but this can be expanded with a microSD card up to 4GB. The T459 allows SMS, MMS, email and instant messaging, and has Bluetooth version 2.0. It can also browse the Internet over WAP 2.0, and comes with a built-in speakerphone.
