Sony Ericsson's C905a is the North American release of the C905 and has quad-band 3G HSDPA reception. One of the main features is the camera, which has an 8 megapixel resolution and xenon flash, autorotation via an accelerometer, as well as other camera features like face and smile detection, image stabilization, and video calling and capture at 30FPS.

There is also a built-in media player that plays mp3s and video files, with song recognition, and there are other media features like the MediaGo software interface, photo blogging, a picture editor, and a TV-out port. This is a higher-end phone that isn't quite a smartphone, though it has data and messaging features like threaded SMS view and email service. The internal memory capacity is 160MB, and this can be expanded up to 8GB with a memory stick (M2 format). Other features include NetFront web browser with RSS feed subscription, 3.6Mbps data transfer, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
